AMSOIL Championship Off-Road – Bark River International Raceway – Bark River, MI – August 14 & 15, 2021

Another race weekend is in the books! August 13^th, we practiced/qualified at Bark River, Michigan in preparation for rounds 9 and 10.

Saturday, August 14^th, John was on fire in both races, with very different outcomes. In the Pro-Stock SXS John started 4^th, and by the first corner he was in 1^st. He stayed in first place thru the competition caution. Fighting off heavy competition for most of the race, he fell back to 2^nd and then to 3^rd after the white flag. Ended with a 3^rd place PODUIM finish.

In the ProLite, he led in first place thru the competition caution. Shortly after, John received contact from 2^nd place and blew a tire. John took it well and said in racing contact, “no harm and no foul”. John was grateful to his team that gave him 2 awesome vehicles in round 9.

Sunday, August 15^th, John started 6^th in Pro-Stock SXS. During the first lap, he was having trouble with his steering. John shut off the SXS after turn 2 to reboot the electronics. The power steering never came back, and John had to eventually pull off.

In the ProLite, John started 6^th and fell back to 10^th. John battled his way up to 4^th place. After the competition caution, he gave the crowd excitement trying to gain that 3^rd PODUIM spot. He battled for 3^rd on the 3 last corners to the finish line with a photo finish but ultimately ended the day with 4th.

Up next the John Holtger Racing team heads back to Crandon for rounds 11 and 12 on September 3^rd and 4^th.  Thank you all for your support.  Hope to see you there!
