Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course Series Crandon 50th World Championship Off-Road Races – Labor Day Weekend

IMG_5188 (002)The John Holtger Racing Team had both their MW and West crews pack up and make their way to Crandon, WI for the 50th World Championship Off-Road Races held over Labor Day Weekend.

This 50th anniversary weekend was a great success for our team! John was registered to compete in (3) different classes – MW Mod Kart, MW Sportsman Stock SXS, and Pro Mod Kart, so it was a busy weekend of racing!

IMG_5191Friday started out with the legendary “Crandon” parade where the race participants were able to drive their race vehicles down the highway and park downtown to meet the fans that came in from all over the country. John had a great time interacting with his fans, and signing autographs!

Race Results:

Friday

  • Pro Mod Kart: 1st Place (16 drivers)
  • Sportsman Stock SXS Race: 12th Place (34 drivers)
  • MW Mod Kart: 1st Place (9 drivers)

Saturday

  • Sportsman Stock SXS: 1st Place (34 drivers)
  • MW Mod Kart: 1st Place (9 drivers)

Sunday

  • Pro Mod Kart: DNF (16 drivers – led the entire race, only to break out on the last lap)

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for the entire team – both MW and West! This wrapped up the 2019 Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League season. After battling hard against the stacked field in the Mod Kart class, John ended up coming out on top as the returning Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League Mod Kart Champion for 2019!! John also ended his rookie season 4th place in points against the fierce competition in the Sportsman Stock SXS class!

Up next – the team will be traveling back out West to Victorville, CA for the next round of the Lucas Oil So-Cal Regional Series! John is currently in 3rd place, hoping to bring home another win!
